Harley Davidson Fl: Fire May Occur
- Recalling firm
- HARLEY DAVIDSON
- Product
- Vehicles: HARLEY DAVIDSON FL. Units affected: 959
- Reason
- It has been identified that on subject machines the fuel tank front mountings may distort in reaction to severe frame damage occasioned in a frontal collision. This may result in fuel leakage from the weld of the front bracket to the tunnel. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. Remedy: Recalled machines will have braces fitted to the vulnerable area in order to reduce fuel tank front mounting distortion during frontal impact scenarios.
