Recall Summary Land Rover is recalling 1,540 Range Rover Velar and Defender plug-in hybrid vehicles sold in the United Kingdom because the gas engine may fail to start when needed. If this happens while driving, the vehicle will switch to electric-only mode and may slow down unexpectedly or lose power entirely. The fix is a software update to the powertrain control module.
