Lexmoto Hawk: Brakes May Fail
Lexmoto is recalling 225 Hawk and Falcon motorcycles because a rubber washer in the braking system may not seal properly, potentially allowing hydraulic fluid to leak and causing complete brake failure. The company will replace the front caliper, two-way valve, brake hose, and related components on affected motorcycles. This recall applies to motorcycles distributed in the United Kingdom.
- Recalling firm
- LEXMOTO
- Product
- Vehicles: LEXMOTO HAWK, LEXMOTO FALCON. Units affected: 450
- Reason
- The Combined Braking valve has a rubber washer fitted to a threaded fitment. The rubber washer isnt suitable for the purpose and has shown signs of allowing hydraulic fluid to pass. If the seal was to completely fail it would result in a complete brake failure. The motorcycle would lose all braking ability which could result in a serious incident. Remedy: Recall the 225 machines that are likely to be affected and replace the front caliper two way valve brake hose and associated components.
