Skoda Superb: Rear Wheel Bearing Housings May Be Incorrectly Manufactured And Could Fail Prematurely

Skoda is recalling 244 Superb and Octavia vehicles because the rear wheel bearing housings may not have been properly hardened during manufacturing, which could cause them to crack. A cracked housing could result in abnormal noises, uneven tire wear, and in rare cases, wheel loss. The remedy involves replacing both rear wheel bearing housings.
