Mercedes Benz Unimog: Air Drier Housing May Detach

Recall Summary Mercedes Benz Unimog vehicles (51 units affected) are being recalled because the muffler on the air drier can freeze in cold conditions, blocking the vent line and causing pressure to build beyond safe levels. This pressure buildup can cause the top of the air drier housing to detach from the vehicle. While drivers may hear noise when this occurs and the brakes should still function, the brake system could potentially be compromised. The fix involves repositioning the air drier muffler.
