Volvo Trucks Fm9: Possible Malfunction Of Engine Management System

Volvo Trucks is recalling 2,484 FM9, FM12, and FH12 trucks because the engine management system may continue using outdated data instead of switching to a safe limp-home mode if the data connection fails. This could cause the truck to keep responding to old throttle or cruise control commands rather than safely limiting power. The fix involves reprogramming the engine control unit.
