Ktm 690: Brakes Could Fail

Recalling firm
KTM
Product
Vehicles: KTM 690. Units affected: 188
Reason
The front wheel spacer/s may be of the incorrect size. The resultant play will allow the wheel to move on the axle which in turn can cause damage to the brake discs fork tubes and ABS sensor. The brake calliper piston could be pushed back sufficiently to cause total failure of the front brakes. Remedy: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and check for visible or measureable play between the axle clamp spacer and hub. If the incorrect spacer/s has been fitted they will be replaced with the correct spacers. Any resultant damage will be rectified.
