Ktm Sx: Front Wheel May Fail

KTM is recalling 1,310 SX and SX-F motorcycles sold in the United Kingdom because the front wheel spokes may break due to manufacturing defects. If spokes break while riding, it can cause the remaining spokes to fail and affect the motorcycle's stability. KTM will replace the front wheel spokes on affected machines.

Vehicles: KTM SX, KTM SX-F. Units affected: 1,310
Reason
Due to variations in the spoke manufacturing process some spokes on the front wheel may exhibit quality deviations. Depending on where they are fitted in the wheel care and spoke tension it is possible that individual spokes may break while riding. This can overload the remaining intact spokes and consequently cause them to break which can affected the stability of the machine. Remedy: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the spokes that are fitted to the front wheel.
