Recall Summary Certain 2024 Acura ZDX and Prologue vehicles have a software error that may cause the instrument panel display to fail or the rearview camera to show a blank screen when in reverse. These issues prevent drivers from seeing critical safety information like the speedometer and warnings, as well as the area behind the vehicle. Honda will fix this problem by updating the vehicle's software at no cost to owners.

- Component: BACK OVER PREVENTION. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024 Acura ZDX and Prologue vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. Additionally, a software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays," 111, "Rear Visibility," and 305, "Electric-Powered Vehicles."

- An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, the loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle radio control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 20, 2026.
