Jeep Grand Cherokee: Vehicle May Roll Away
Recall Summary About 4,621 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles have an electronic shift lever that may not properly engage the parking brake, which could allow the vehicle to roll away if the engine is running and the transmission isn't in Park. Jeep will install updated software with an "Auto Park" feature and provide a handbook addendum to affected vehicle owners in the United Kingdom.

- The electronic shift lever on about 210000 of the above vehicles may allow a roll away condition if the vehicle�s engine is left running the parking brake is not engaged and the transmission is not in the �PARK� position before exiting the vehicle. Remedy: On affected vehicles new software will be installed which includes an �Auto Park� feature. A handbook addendum leaflet will also be provided.
