Citroen C4: Citroen C4 Driverpassenger Airbag (takata)

Citroën is recalling 17,614 C4 vehicles because the driver and passenger front airbags may fail to deploy during a crash. The affected vehicles have Takata airbags that will be replaced. This recall applies to vehicles distributed in the United Kingdom.

Reason

On affected vehicles the chemicals in the Takata airbags may deteriorate over time which may cause the inflator to rupture and lead to serious injury. Remedy: Owners of affected vehicles should immediately cease using their vehicle when safe to do so until the recall action has been completed. Affected vehicles will have the airbag modules replaced.
