Recall Summary BMW is recalling 11 vehicles of various models (520i, 530i xDrive, 740i, X1 sDrive20i, X5 M60i xDrive, X7 xDrive40d, X7 xDrive40i, and XM) produced between July 2022 and November 2023 due to a quality defect in the integrated braking system's servo motor position sensor. The defect can cause signal failures that trigger a safety mode, resulting in brake warning lights, check control messages on the center display, increased braking effort required, longer stopping distances, and potential loss of ABS and vehicle stability control (DSC) functions. BMW will replace the integrated braking system with an improved version.
