Recall Summary Certain Lode King flat deck and step deck trailers from 2019 to 2026 have a rear impact guard that may not be properly welded to the frame, potentially causing it to fail during a crash. A faulty rear impact guard could allow another vehicle to slide under the trailer, increasing injury risk. Lode King will contact owners by mail with instructions to inspect and reweld the guard, or owners can book an appointment at a Lode King dealership for the work.

Issue: On certain trailers, the rear impact guard may not have been welded properly to the frame. As a result, the rear impact guard may not work properly in a crash. Safety Risk: A rear impact guard that doesn't work properly could cause a vehicle to underride the trailer and increase the risk of injuries. Corrective Actions: Lode King will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, weld the rear impact guard to the frame. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the inspection and repairs performed at a Lode King dealership.
