Jeep Patriot: Engine May Cut Out

Jeep Patriot and Compass Recall Summary Jeep is recalling 228 Patriot and Compass vehicles sold in the United Kingdom because a fuel transfer pipe may be incorrectly manufactured, which can prevent fuel from moving from the secondary tank to the primary tank and cause the engine to shut off. The fuel gauge may still show fuel is available even when the engine cannot access it. Jeep will replace the fuel transfer pipe in affected vehicles.
