- Under certain conditions it is possible for the steering arm to contact the bolts retaining the exhaust mounting bracket. Over a protracted period it is possible for the drag link to weaken sufficiently for the steering to fail with attendant loss of directional control. Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to modify the exhaust bracket fit different bolts to the exhaust bracket and replace the steering arm.
