Honda Motorcycles Cb1000s: High Oil Consumption
Honda is recalling 2,024 CB1000S, CB1000SPS, and CBR600RR motorcycles because their engines may consume oil at an increasing rate. If oil levels drop significantly without the rider noticing, the engine could lose oil pressure and seize. Honda is asking owners to regularly check their oil levels and contact an authorized Honda retailer to have their oil consumption checked, while the company develops a permanent fix.
