Dodge Dakota: Passenger Airbag Inflator

Recall Summary Dodge is recalling certain Dakota, Durango, Charger, Magnum, and Challenger vehicles because the passenger airbag inflator may rupture when activated, potentially sending metal fragments through the airbag cushion and injuring occupants. The problem occurs when moisture enters the inflator due to faulty seals and is absorbed by the internal components, which happens more quickly in hot, humid climates. The remedy is to replace the passenger front airbag module.
