Bilbos Design Volkswagen T5: High Top Roof Could Detach Or Allow Water Ingress Onto Interior Fittings
BILBOS DESIGN Volkswagen T5 vehicles with high-top roofs are being recalled because the glue bonding the roof to the vehicle can weaken over time, potentially allowing water to enter and cause hidden corrosion or, in severe cases, causing the roof to detach. The recall affects 93 vehicles distributed in the United Kingdom. The manufacturer will install a new roof moulding with improved adhesive and address any corrosion damage that may have already occurred.

- Reason
- The glue used to fix the high top to the base vehicle overtime loses adherence. This may not be evident to the driver and water may cause none visible corrosion and could affect interior fittings.
