Paper bowls with a polyethylene coating from the Philippines are being recalled because they released excessive amounts of chemicals when tested at high temperatures with water and acidic solutions—exceeding safety limits in three separate leaching tests. The bowls failed to meet food safety standards for materials that directly contact food, with one test result showing chemical residue nearly 28 times higher than the allowed limit. The product was distributed by Fu Jin Shu Wen Chuang Technology Co., Ltd., and all units must be returned or destroyed.
