Product
Vehicles: DAIMLER TRUCK AXOR, DAIMLER TRUCK ACTROS RANGE. Units affected: 66
Reason
It has been established that due to insufficient crimping of the main battery cable lugs/terminals to the battery cable can cause a resistance between the cable and lug/terminal. This can result in either failure of the electrical system production of sparks or a short circuit which could cause a vehicle fire. Remedy: Recall the affected vehicles for a check of the crimping. If found to be out of specification re-crimp or solder the cable lug/terminal.
