Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Ulysse: Brake Servo Assistance May Be Reduced
Recall Summary Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling 2,986 Ulysse vehicles because water can enter the brake servo vacuum pipe through an exposed exhaust gas recirculating filter, potentially freezing in cold temperatures and reducing brake assistance. The company will inspect the EGR valve solenoids and replace them with new units that have separate air filters if needed.

- Product
- Vehicles: FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES ULYSSE. Units affected: 2,986
- Reason
- It has been identified that due to the inlet filter for the exhaust gas recirculating valve (EGR) being in an exposed position there is a possibility of water entering the brake servo vacuum pipe. This can give rise to the possibility of ice forming within the pipe during periods of low ambient temperature with the possibility of reduced brake servo assistance. Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the EGR valve solenoids checked for the presence of separate air filters. If this is not the case new solenoids with separate filters will be fitted.
