Vw Touareg: Hybrid Battery Management Reprogramming
Summary Volkswagen is recalling 308 Touareg hybrid vehicles from a specific production period because their high-voltage battery systems may have defects in individual battery modules that could cause charging problems and create a fire risk. The company will update the battery management software in affected vehicles to fix the issue. Until repairs are completed, owners should avoid external charging and limit the battery to 50% charge in hybrid mode.
