2020 Ford Escape - High Voltage

Ford is recalling certain 2020-2024 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair plug-in hybrid vehicles because a previous software update may not have worked properly, and a high-voltage battery problem could cause a short circuit leading to loss of power or battery overheating. The issue affects about 70,000 vehicles across Canada and could increase crash risk or create a fire hazard even when the vehicle is parked. Ford is asking owners not to charge their vehicles until repairs are completed and will send notification by mail with repair details once they are finalized.
