Toyota () Aygo: Accelerator Pedal May Fail To Return To Idle

Recall Summary Toyota is recalling approximately 1.22 million vehicles (Aygo, Yaris, Verso, Avensis, iQ, RAV4, and Auris models) because condensation can build up inside the accelerator pedal assembly in cold weather, potentially causing the pedal to return slowly or not return to idle position. Toyota will install a steel reinforcing bar in the pedal assembly to prevent condensation buildup and improve the pedal's ability to return to its resting position.
