Fiat Chrysler Automobiles 500 Bev: Fiat 500 Bev Panda And Tipo. Instrument Panel Cluster Software

Fiat is recalling 386 Fiat 500 BEV vehicles because the Automatic Emergency Brake system may fail to reactivate if a driver turns it off and then tries to turn it back on during the same driving session, while the dashboard warning light incorrectly shows the system is active. The fix involves updating the front camera software. The recall affects vehicles distributed in the United Kingdom.

Product
Vehicles: FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES 500 BEV. Units affected: 386
Reason
On affected vehicles the Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) function may remain deactivated in a specific use case. If the customer seeks to reactivate the AEB after previously deactivating it during the same driving cycle (key on/off) it will remain deactivated however the icon on the cluster to alert about deactivation remains off.
