2019 Spartan Star Series - Structure
Spartan Fire is recalling certain 2019-2023 Star Series fire trucks because the ladder lock handle may not be properly assembled, which could cause the handle to loosen and the ladder to fall off the vehicle. A falling ladder could create a road hazard and increase crash risk. Spartan Fire will mail owners instructions to have an authorized service facility inspect and replace the ladder lock handle if needed.

- Reason
- Issue: On certain fire trucks, the ladder lock handle may not have been assembled properly. As a result, the handle could become loose and detach from the ladder lock. If this happens, the ladder(s) could fall from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A ladder that falls from a vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to an authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the ladder lock handle.
