Polaris Trail Performance: Some Snowmobiles May Pose A Risk Of Fire Due To Electrostatic Discharge (esd) Inside The Fuel Tank
Recall Summary Polaris is recalling 6 snowmobiles (Trail Performance, Matryx, and Axys models) distributed in the United Kingdom because degraded fuel in the tank can create a fire risk through electrostatic discharge, particularly after the vehicle has been in storage. To address this issue, Polaris has developed a fuel pump assembly update procedure, and owners should ensure their fuel tank is full with fresh gasoline if they need to operate the snowmobile.

- Reason
- With degraded fuel and especially after extended storage some snowmobiles may pose a risk of fire due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) inside the fuel tank. Remedy: If a rider needs to start their snowmobile they must make sure the fuel tank is full and if it is not then they need to add fresh gasoline to fill the tank. To resolve this concern Polaris has developed a procedure to update the fuel pump assembly.
