Ford Focus: Wiper Motor May Fail And Overheat
Ford Focus and C-Max Wiper Motor Recall Ford is recalling approximately 137,992 Focus and C-Max vehicles because water can enter the wiper motor through the wiper arm spindle. If the water contains salt, it may cause an electrical short circuit that could stop the wipers from working or, in severe cases, cause the motor to overheat and melt nearby trim components. Ford will replace the wiper motor cover and sealing grommet with revised parts to prevent water entry.
