Scania Lpgrs Series Truck

Scania is recalling 509 LPGRS series trucks because improper wiring during manufacturing caused the side turn signal indicator power supply to bypass the central electrical unit. This wiring error prevents the driver warning system from functioning when turn signals fail, which violates safety standards. The recall affects vehicles with type code GAI-4120.

Product
Vehicle Make: SCANIA. Model: LPGRS series Truck. Manufacturer: SCANIA CV AB (Japanese Importer: SCANIA JAPANA Co. Ltd. ). Vehicles Affected: 509. Type Codes: GAI-4120
Reason
Due to improper wiring instructions during body-building operations, the power supply circuit for the side turn signal indicator was connected directly from the up-fitting console instead of being routed through the Up-fitting Central Electric Unit. As a result, when a front or rear turn signal indicator becomes inoperative, the driver warning function fails to operate as intended, and the vehicle does not comply with the relevant safety requirements.
