Noguchi Shopping Center sold approximately 200-gram packages of white mushrooms (Shiromeshiji) at their Yuzawa Hearts store on October 27-28, 2026, but testing identified at least one package as poisonous grey mushrooms (Haiiro-shimeshiji) instead. The poisonous mushrooms can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea within 30 minutes to 24 hours of consumption, though no illnesses have been reported so far.
