Fiat Chrysler Automobiles : Possible Damage To Brake Pipes
Recall Summary Fiat Chrysler is recalling 2,085 Punto vehicles with ABS brakes because the brake compensator springs may contact and damage the rear brake pipes. This damage could cause brake fluid to leak and reduce braking effectiveness. Dealers will secure the brake pipes and replace any that are found to be damaged.

- Reason
- On ABS equipped Punto vehicles contact may take place between the brake compensator springs and the rear (metal) brake pipes. This could damage the pipes causing loss of brake fluid and reducing the efficiency of the service brake. Remedy: Recall the affected vehicles and secure the subject brake pipes to eliminate the possibility of any contact with the compensator springs. Any brake pipes found to be damaged will be replaced.
