BMW 5 Series Saloon: Check Steering Wheel And Rework Ground Connection
BMW is recalling 3,098 vehicles (5 Series Saloon, 7 Series Saloon, X3, and 5 Series Touring models) because the steering wheel ground connection may not have been properly fastened during manufacturing. This could cause the vehicle's system to incorrectly detect that hands are on the steering wheel when they are not. BMW will inspect and repair the ground connection on affected vehicles if needed.
