Maserati Quattroporte: Front Suspension Arm Could Fail.
Maserati Recall Summary Maserati is recalling 3,154 Quattroporte and Granturismo vehicles sold in the United Kingdom because the front suspension ball joint retaining nuts may have been tightened incorrectly during manufacturing. If loose, these nuts could cause the ball joint to wear excessively and potentially lead to suspension arm failure. Dealers will check and correct the torque on these nuts, and replace the suspension levers and hub carrier if needed.

- Vehicles: MASERATI QUATTROPORTE, MASERATI GRANTURISMO. Units affected: 3,154
- Reason
- It has been identified that during manufacture an incorrect tightening torque may have been applied to the front suspension ball joint retaining nuts. This can result in the ball joint becoming loose in it's taper and in extreme circumstances an increase in wear may cause the suspension arm to break. Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the subject ball joint retaining nuts checked for correct torque. Should this not be the case both suspension levers and the hub carrier will be changed.
