Ford: Vehicle Rollaway Risk (power Train)
Ford is recalling certain 2018-2021 Navigator and Expedition models, 2020-2021 Explorer models, Lincoln Aviator models, and 2021 F-150 vehicles because the transmission park pawl may engage while driving, which can damage the park system and cause the vehicle to roll away. Ford will update the powertrain software and inspect or replace damaged transmission parts at no cost, with the fix expected to be available in April 2027. Owners were notified in July 2026 and can contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 or check their vehicle identification number on NHTSA.gov to see if their vehicle is affected.
