Wrightbus Nrm: Rear Door May Open Without Warning
Recall Summary Wrightbus is recalling 846 NRM and NBFL buses because the rear door can unexpectedly open while the vehicle is moving if the driver bypasses the normal operating procedure. If this happens, the parking brake will automatically engage and stop the vehicle suddenly. The company will fix this issue by upgrading the Kibes software on all affected buses.

- Reason
- It has been identified that the driver can inadvertently circumvent the correct operating procedure for the closing/opening of the rear plug and slide door. If the door operating sequence has been overridden then when the vehicle moves off from stationary the door can reopen a number of seconds after the vehicle has started to move off following the release of the park (halt) brake. Should this occur then the park (halt) brake will apply causing the vehicle to suddenly stop. The interlock will operate and the door will not reopen if the vehicle has exceeded 5 mph. Remedy: Recall all...
