L-serie, P-serie, G-serie, R-serie, S-serie

Recall Summary Scania is recalling L-Series, P-Series, G-Series, R-Series, and S-Series lorries (trucks) sold in Germany due to a transmission fault that may cause the vehicle to shift into a false neutral position and move forward unexpectedly. The sensor may incorrectly indicate the vehicle is in neutral when a gear is actually engaged, potentially causing the truck to move when shifted into Drive or Reverse without the driver pressing the accelerator, which could result in injuries. This defect fails to meet European motor vehicle safety regulations.

Product
Lorry. L-SERIE, P-SERIE, G-SERIE, R-SERIE, S-SERIE
Reason
A transmission fault may cause the vehicle to accidentally go into a false neutral position and move forward unexpectedly. In some cases, the sensor may show the vehicle is in “neutral” even though a gear is engaged. This means the vehicle could start moving when shifted into Drive (D) or Reverse (R), even without pressing the accelerator. This could cause injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
