Mercedes Benz Sprinter: Fire May Occur
Recall Summary Mercedes-Benz is recalling 8,058 Sprinter vehicles in the United Kingdom because the engine oil separator's fleece filter insert can become blocked with dirt, causing pressure buildup in the crankcase that may allow oil to leak onto hot engine parts and potentially start a fire. The company will replace the original oil filter with a cyclone-type filter to fix the issue.
