2023 Volkswagen Id.4 - High Voltage
Volkswagen is recalling approximately 378 units of 2023 and 2024 ID.4 vehicles because certain high-voltage battery modules may have been improperly manufactured, causing them to overheat and potentially create a fire risk even when the vehicle is parked and off. Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealership for battery module replacement. In the meantime, owners are advised to charge only to 80%, avoid level 3 quick charging, and park outdoors away from other vehicles or structures.
