General: Roof Rail Air Bag Inflator Endcap May Detach

Recall Summary General Motors is recalling certain 2018-2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks because the roof rail air bag inflator end cap may detach or the inflator may rupture. If this happens, pressurized gas could escape and shoot the end cap or inflator fragments into the vehicle cabin, potentially injuring occupants. Dealers will replace both roof rail air bag modules at no cost.
