Recall Summary Certain 2024 Grand Design Momentum and Solitude fifth-wheel trailers have U-bolts connecting the axles to the suspension that may have been over-tightened, which could cause an axle to slide backward on the leaf spring. This problem could affect how the trailer handles and potentially cause loss of control while towing. Grand Design RV will mail owners instructions to have a dealership replace the U-bolts and inspect the leaf springs.

Reason: This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2026-030. Issue: On certain RV trailers, the U-bolts that attach the axles to the suspension may have been over-tightened. As a result, an axle could slide back on the leaf spring. This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control. Safety Risk: A loss of control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to replace the U-bolts. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the leaf springs.
