Greenpower: Warning Label Missing From Cross View Mirror

Recall Summary Greenpower is recalling certain 2020-2024 Nano Beast and 2021-2024 Beast school buses because the Cross View Mirror may be missing a warning label that tells drivers not to use it to view other vehicles. Without this label, drivers could mistakenly rely on the mirror to see traffic, which could lead to crashes. Dealers will inspect the buses and install the label for free if needed.

Component: EQUIPMENT. Greenpower Motor Company Inc. (Greenpower) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Nano Beast and 2021-2024 Beast school buses. The Cross View Mirror is designed to only view pedestrian around stopped buses. The label warning drivers not to use the mirror to view vehicular traffic may be missing. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Reason

Without a warning label, the driver may use the altered view to see other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash. Remedy: Dealers will inspect and install the label as necessary, free of charge.
