Jeep Avenger: Jeep Avenger. Emissions Recall. Stop&start Not Functioning Software Update. R Switch Harness Failure

Recall Summary Jeep is recalling 2,833 Jeep Avenger vehicles with manual transmissions and start/stop function because the stop/start feature may not work properly due to incorrect software in the body control module. When the feature fails to activate, the engine continues running instead of shutting off as designed, which increases emissions beyond certified levels. Jeep dealers will fix the issue by updating the vehicle's software.
