Blue Bird Body Company: Damaged Wiring May Disrupt Critical Safety Functions (electrical System)
Blue Bird is recalling certain 2021-2027 Vision School Buses because a 12V power wire in the electrical system may become damaged and short circuit, which could disable safety features like rear lights or warning lights on the instrument panel. This electrical failure could increase the risk of a crash. Blue Bird will add a fuse and repair the affected wire harnesses for free at authorized dealers.

- An electrical short can cause a disruption to safety functions such as a loss of rear lighting or instrument panel warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash. Remedy: Dealers will add an in-line fuse and repair the wire harnesses as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 9, 2026.
