Vauxhall Vivaro: Bonnet Lock May Fail

Vauxhall Vivaro Bonnet Lock Recall Summary Vauxhall is recalling 2,364 Vivaro vehicles because the bolts securing the bonnet latch may not be tightened to the correct specification, potentially causing the bonnet to open while driving. Vibrations and air pressure can loosen these bolts further, preventing the bonnet from staying closed. Vauxhall will check and replace the latch bolts as needed on affected vehicles.

Product
Vehicles: VAUXHALL VIVARO. Units affected: 2,364
Reason
The tightening torque of both hood primary latch bolts may not be to specification and cause the locking function of the hood to not work correctly. The loosening of the hood latch screws under the influence of vibrations together with the aerodynamic pressure under the hood can lead to the bonnet not staying in the closed position. Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the tightening torque of both hood primary latch bolts. Where necessary the bolts will be replaced.
