BMW Of: Loss Of Rear Wheel Power From Driveshaft Damage (power Train)

Recall Summary BMW is recalling certain 2021-2026 540i, 840i, 750e xDrive, and M550i xDrive models because the driveshaft connection to the rear differential may become damaged, potentially causing loss of power to the rear wheels. A loss of rear wheel power while driving increases crash risk, and a damaged driveshaft could cause the vehicle to roll away if the parking brake is not engaged. Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the affected components at no cost to owners.
