Ford Fiesta: Failure Of Braking System Vacuum Assistance
Recall Summary Ford is recalling approximately 170,592 Fiesta, Escort, and Mondeo vehicles because the brake vacuum pump may fail to work properly. If this happens, drivers would need to press the brake pedal harder than normal, and the vehicle could take longer to stop. Ford dealers will check the brake pump identification codes and replace pumps within certain manufacturing ranges with new ones.
