Vw Atlas: Remove Engine Compartment Cover
Recall Summary Volkswagen is recalling 20 Atlas and Teramont vehicles because their engine compartment covers may be incorrectly installed and could come loose. If the cover touches the hot turbocharger, it could cause smoldering or fire. Volkswagen will remove the engine compartment cover to fix the issue.

- On affected vehicles engine compartment covers were fitted that if incorrectly installed can come loose from their attachments. An unsecured engine compartment cover could touch the hot area of the turbocharger and result in smouldering damage or even a fire. Remedy: The engine compartment cover must be removed. Check for security prior to journey if loose remove if possible if not contact dealer immediately for rectification.
