BMW Mini Convertible: The Steering Gear Tie Rod May Not Have Been Assembled With The Required Spherical Washer
BMW is recalling 76 vehicles (MINI Convertible, 2 Series, MINI Countryman, and X1 models) because some steering gear tie rods may be missing a required spherical washer during assembly. BMW will inspect both tie rods on affected vehicles and replace any that are faulty along with their accompanying swivel bearings.
