BMW I5, M5, 5, I7, 7 - Brandgefahr
BMW is recalling certain 5 and 7 series vehicles (including I5, M5, I7 models) produced between June 2022 and December 2025 because improperly routed cockpit wiring can be damaged during microfilter replacement, potentially causing electrical shorts that could produce smoke or fire. Owners of affected vehicles that have already had a microfilter replacement should avoid using remote climate control, departure scheduling, cabin ventilation, and heating functions until the wiring is inspected and corrected. BMW will check the wiring routing and repair it if necessary.

Remedy: Die Verlegung des Cockpit-Kabelbaumes wird geprüft und ggf. nachgebessert. Bei Fahrzeugen, die von der Aktion 0061520900 betroffen sind oder von der Aktion mit dem Code 0061510900 und bereits einen Ölservice und somit einen Mikrofilterwechsel erhalten haben, sollen bis zur Reparatur die folgenden Remote-Funktionen nicht genutzt werden: Klimatisierung, Abfahrtsplan, Standlüftung, Standheizung.
