Nissan Leaf Recall Summary Nissan Korea is recalling 768 Leaf electric vehicles manufactured between August 2018 and July 2019 because the lithium-ion battery can overheat and catch fire during fast charging due to increased internal electrical resistance in the battery cells. Owners will have their vehicle's battery control software reprogrammed, and if problems are detected after testing, the battery will be replaced or the vehicle will be repurchased.
